We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Teacher to join a welcoming junior school in Surrey, working with a small group of bright and capable children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with smaller groups and can provide engaging, individualised teaching while helping pupils continue to thrive within a mainstream school environment.

The Role

You will be teaching a small group of pupils across Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, supporting their academic progress and individual learning needs.

The children are academically able and participate in the wider life of the mainstream school, integrating with their peers during lessons where appropriate, as well as at playtimes and other activities.

We are looking for someone who can create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment while recognising the individual strengths and needs of each child.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified and confident teacher
• Patient, positive and adaptable in their approach
• Able to engage and challenge academically able pupils
• Comfortable adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Experienced with ASD/SEND, or genuinely interested in developing their experience in this area
• Able to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and school staff

£200+ per day, dependent on experience
Start: Next week / as soon as possible

The school is flexible for the right person. The position can be offered on a temporary basis, or, for someone looking for greater stability, there is the potential for the role to develop into a long-term or permanent position through a temp-to-perm arrangement.
