The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Oncologist to support a healthcare service in South West.

This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract commencing on 1 September 2026, with a structured Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 working pattern. The role is ideal for experienced Oncology Consultants seeking a consistent weekday placement within a well-established clinical environment.

You will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, supporting oncology services and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide high-quality oncology care within your scope of practice
• Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for oncology patients
• Support inpatient and outpatient oncology services as required
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams, AHPs, and wider multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with NHS standards
• Participate in MDT meetings and treatment planning discussions
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and support safe patient management
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of care, governance, and service delivery

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Oncology (or equivalent eligibility)
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience within Oncology
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of current oncology best practice and clinical governance requirements
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
