The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Oncologist to support a healthcare service in South West.
This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract commencing on 1 September 2026, with a structured Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 working pattern. The role is ideal for experienced Oncology Consultants seeking a consistent weekday placement within a well-established clinical environment.
You will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, supporting oncology services and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide high-quality oncology care within your scope of practice
- Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for oncology patients
- Support inpatient and outpatient oncology services as required
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams, AHPs, and wider multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with NHS standards
- Participate in MDT meetings and treatment planning discussions
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and support safe patient management
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of care, governance, and service delivery
What We're Looking For
- Active GMC registration
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Oncology (or equivalent eligibility)
- Relevant recent UK NHS experience within Oncology
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of current oncology best practice and clinical governance requirements
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
