About the role

Site Manager wanted!

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Manager to join our dedicated school team. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and secure condition as well as co-ordinating and undertaking such tasks as may be necessary for effective site management, administrative and lettings duties.

You will be responsible for health and safety, ensuring that regulations are followed and adhered to throughout; you will also be part of the cleaning team to ensure that our school is always an inviting place to be for all.

This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; knowledge of and the ability to undertake various maintenance and repair works, be pro-active and able to demonstrate the ability to work under their own initiative.

Previous experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous but not necessarily essential.

We are looking for someone who will become an integral member of our community where children are at the centre. You will take ownership of the school site, working with the children and staff to make it a high-quality environment for learning.

John Clifford is a two-form entry school in central Beeston. The Victorian building has been well maintained and developed over recent years and the school is a proud member of the White Hills Park Trust. The Head Teacher and school team are embarking on an exciting next chapter working alongside our community, with wonderful children at the heart of our work.

One of our guiding principles, which supports our efforts every day, is success. Everything we do is led by our desire to be our best...this might be in our approach to work, the way we care for others, the manners we use towards our peers and visitors or in the way we respond to new experiences.

We are committed to:

Taking care of ourselves and others, including those in our community and wider world through meaningful partnerships

Providing excellent teaching and learning through an inclusive, creative and challenging curriculum

Challenging all children through the provision of a range of opportunities and experiences both inside and beyond the classroom

Celebrating achievement in all areas so children feel positive and proud

Fostering an ethos of aspiration so we all go beyond what is expected, making valuable contributions

Instilling a lifelong love of learning so we can be the best people we can be in this shared and diverse world

Ensuring all children feel secure, welcome and safe

At John Clifford, each learner is supported to develop resilience and tolerance, ensuring children embrace opportunity to develop their identity, self-respect and go beyond expectation through their attitudes and contributions. We encourage children to be confident and trusting, to value and accept each other and take ownership of and responsibility for their learning. Our leaners will be ready to embrace challenge and preserve towards achieving successful futures with open and creative minds. We are building our relationships to foster open and honest communication with parents and actively seek to engage with all members of the community in a positive and collaborative manner.
