Jackson Hogg are recruiting for an experienced Robot Welder to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous robotic welding experience looking to secure a long-term position with a clear route to permanent employment.

Successful candidates will complete an initial induction and training period on dayshift before moving onto a 2-shift rotation, earning £15.25 per hour.

The Role

As a Robot Welder, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment, ensuring components are manufactured to the required quality standards and production targets.

Key duties include:

• Operating and monitoring robotic welding machinery
• Loading and unloading components
• Removing weld spatter during machine cycle times
• Interpreting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical drawings
• Inspecting completed parts to ensure they meet specification
• Performing quality checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience operating robotic welding machinery
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and technical drawings
• Experience using manual power tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good communication skills and a positive work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Manual welding experience is advantageous but not essential

Hours of Work

Initial Induction & Training

Dayshift

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

Two Shift Rotation (20% Shift Premium)

Week 1 - Early Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm

Week 2 - Back Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• Friday: 12:30pm – 7:00pm

Average 38.5 hours per week.

Pay & Benefits

Temporary Workers

• £15.25 per hour on 2-shift rotation

  • Time and a Half Monday to Saturday
  • Double Time on Sundays
