About the role
Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £45,000 + 10% Bonus
Are you an experienced Key Account Manager or a Fire & Security engineer looking to move into a client-facing role, based in Buckinghamshire and ready for your next opportunity? As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts within the fire and security sector, building strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
* Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to grow revenue and contract value.
* Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender responses tailored to client requirements.
* Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to maintain strong relationships and understand evolving needs.
* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure projects and service contracts are delivered to client expectations.
* Monitor account performance, produce sales reports, and forecast revenue accurately.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in a key account management or technical sales role within the fire and security industry, or a background as a fire and security engineer looking to transition into a commercial role.
* Solid understanding of fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, access control, CCTV, and/or fire detection.
* Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, retain accounts, and achieve revenue targets.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present confidently at all levels.
* Full UK driving licence, as regular client and site visits will be required.
* FIA membership or industry-recognised fire and security qualification (desirable).
