1:1 Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is recruiting a committed, patient and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil at a primary school in Lichfield. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, starting September and continuing until the end of the academic year.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive, structured environment.

About the Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to a KS2 pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs
• Help the child engage positively with lessons, routines and activities
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to follow support plans
• Encourage independence, confidence and emotional resilience
• Build a trusting, consistent relationship with the pupil
• Contribute to a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

A Teaching Assistant who:

• Has experience supporting children with additional needs (school‑based or transferable)
• Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

• Brings warmth, consistency and a child‑centred approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
