Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Year 3 ASD & Behaviour Support
Location: Oldbury
Role: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Start Date: 2nd September 2026
Hours: 8:20am – 3:35pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Additional info: Staff meeting every Wednesday until 4:15pm. Early finish every Friday at 1:30pm.
Contract: Ongoing, with the potential to continue for the full academic year
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Job in Oldbury
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Oldbury is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This rewarding full-time position will involve working within a Year 3 classroom, providing targeted support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional behavioural needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
- Has experience supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
- Remains calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with children
- Is compassionate, nurturing, and understanding
- Is reliable, dedicated, and committed to making a difference
- Works effectively as part of a wider school team
- Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom-based support within a Year 3 setting
- Deliver targeted support for pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Support emotional regulation and social development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where required
