Job Title: Housing Officer Location: Kent and Essex (2 days office-based, remainder on-site and working from home) Rate: £19.23 per hour (PAYE) / £25.04 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Type: Interim About the Role: We are seeking a Housing Officer to deliver a high-quality housing management service, ensuring residents' wellbeing, welfare, and safety. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and residents to improve satisfaction and ensure a seamless service. Key Responsibilities: • Provide housing management services within legal and regulatory frameworks. • Settle residents into new homes, conduct regular visits, and ensure tenancy conditions are met. • Complete welfare checks, make safeguarding referrals, and monitor cases with multi-agency partners. • Manage customer expectations, resolve nuisance issues, and support ASB cases. • Attend court, prepare legal documents, and participate in multi-agency meetings. • Conduct pre-void inspections, viewings, and work with lettings to ensure vacant homes are turned around within KPIs. • Ensure resident safety by completing FRA actions, PEEPs, and PCFRAs as required. • Conduct tenancy audits, schedule appointments, and promote resident involvement. • Support residents in using online services and assist in maximising rental income. • Work with Development Teams for efficient handovers of new homes. • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements. Requirements: • Experience in housing management, including nuisance and harassment cases, with knowledge of relevant legislation. • Ability to follow processes, use initiative, and deliver excellent customer service. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines. • Proficient in using multiple IT and communication systems. • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for efficient travel. • Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
