Associate Procurement Professional
Location: Desford (Hybrid - 3 days in office: Mon, Wed, Fri)
Pay Rate: Up to £16.65 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Likely to extend)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible start/finish times available)
Role Overview
Join a global logistics environment as an Associate Procurement Professional. This role handles day-to-day procurement tasks, resolves invoice issues, manages supplier relationships, and drives continuous process improvements, including opportunities to work with AI tools and business automation.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Order Management: Manage supplier relationships, support sourcing, handle new part setups, and negotiate solutions.
Data & Problem Solving: Conduct data analysis, resolve invoice grief, and improve operational metrics.
Process Improvement: Participate in project management initiatives, drive automation, and support safety, compliance, and lean procedures.
Travel: Up to 10% UK or European travel for supplier or customer visits, as required.
Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience or strong awareness in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Top Skills: Strong negotiation skills, data analysis, and sourcing experience.
Software: Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint). Power BI experience is advantageous.
Soft Skills: Self-driven team player with initiative and strong analytical thinking.
Travel/Location: Located within reasonable commuting distance to Desford or able to relocate.
