Youth Complex Support Worker - Flexible Shifts (Weston-super-Mare)

We are seeking a resilient and highly skilled Youth Complex Support Worker to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. In this role, you will provide essential trauma-informed support to young individuals navigating complex emotional challenges, autism, and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nurturing Well-being: Assisting young individuals in developing independent living skills, maintaining stable daily routines, and safely accessing community-based activities.
  • De-escalating Tensions: Utilising professional, calm, and firm verbal techniques to effectively manage volatile situations, ensuring the emotional regulation and safety of those in your care.
  • Maintaining Standards: Upholding rigorous safeguarding protocols through the management of detailed, precise documentation and clinical tracking charts for all interventions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of paid care experience within a UK residential or youth-focused setting is essential.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrable high emotional intelligence, clear professional boundaries, and a proven ability to apply trauma-informed care practices.
  • Logistics: A valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are required due to the nature of service locations across North Somerset.
