MK Personnel Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client in Bletchley for a friendly and reliable Trade Counter & Shop Assistant to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Trade Counter & Shop Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers visiting the branch. You’ll provide excellent customer service, process sales, prepare customer orders and ensure the trade counter and shop are always well stocked, organised and welcoming.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining customer service, trade counter sales, stock control and general shop duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers at the trade counter.
• Provide product advice and recommendations (full training provided).
• Process customer purchases and payments accurately.
• Prepare customer orders for collection.
• Pick and pack online and telephone orders.
• Receive deliveries and book stock into the system.
• Replenish shelves and maintain attractive product displays.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory control.
• Support Click & Collect and customer returns.
• Keep the trade counter and shop clean, organised and well presented.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of the team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve daily targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous trade counter, retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable and professional manner.
• Confident using computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
• Happy to work two Saturdays per month.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Two Saturdays per month: 8:00am – 1:00pm
• £13.00 per hour
• Immediate start available
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity
