Location: Wilmington NC Job Site: Hybrid, 1 week a month to be in office, candidates do not need to be local, prefers EST timezoneOpenings: 1Travel Required: Travelling to office 1 week per monthJob Type: ContractDuration: 1 YearRate: $70-75/hour Hours: 40 hours/week (8am - 4:30pm)Project: Nuclear The Hardware Engineer designs, develops, and tests hardware components and systems to meet performance and reliability standards.Responsibilities:
Demonstrate accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy of assigned tasks.Technical collaboration between design engineering and vendors when manufacturing issues arise.Design and test electronic circuits and hardware systems.Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software solutions.Develop prototypes and validate hardware designs.Analyze hardware performance and implement improvements.Document design processes and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.Proven experience in hardware design and development.Proficiency in hardware design tools and simulation software.Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.Competency in industry standards.IEEE, IEC, IPC, and quality.Knowledge and experience with PCB design, signal analysis and system verification tools (Altium, PSpice, SystemVerilog,UVM, etc.).Knowledge and experience with common HDL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog) and PLD/FPGA development tools (Quartus, Vivado, ModelSim,Questa, etc.).
