Site ManagerLocation: St Ives (PE27)Contract Type: Contract (7 months)SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 7-month refurbishment project involving the conversion of an ex-bank building into 10 residential apartments. The project is already underway, and the successful candidate will start as soon as possible. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and working closely with the client to develop and maintain a detailed schedule of works. The role requires strong leadership to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. You will also ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project duration.Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all site activities related to the refurbishment projectDevelop and maintain a comprehensive schedule of works in collaboration with the clientCoordinate subcontractors, labour, and materials to meet programme deadlinesEnsure strict adherence to health and safety standards and site complianceConduct site inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talksMaintain accurate site documentation, including reports and risk assessmentsAct as the primary point of contact for the client and other stakeholdersIdentify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain progress and quality
Skills
Proven experience managing refurbishment projects, preferably involving residential conversionsStrong ability to produce and manage detailed schedules of worksExcellent leadership and team management skillsEffective communication and stakeholder managementStrong organisational and time management abilitiesSound knowledge of health and safety regulations and site complianceProblem-solving and decision-making under pressureAbility to coordinate multiple subcontractors and site operativesIT literate with experience in site reporting and documentationClient-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships

Remuneration
Daily rate between £270 and £300 per day
