The successful candidate will join an established team of care practitioners, taking accountability for the following duties:
Deliver exceptional, round-the-clock care to vulnerable young individuals within a secure residential setting.
Provide trauma-informed care and tailored emotional support to children managing complex behavioural difficulties.
Actively encourage community integration and development by escorting service users to educational facilities and local activities.
Establish and uphold clear, healthy professional boundaries at all times.
Adhere strictly to National Care Standards while maintaining an exemplary level of professionalism.
Collaborate seamlessly with internal colleagues to ensure a safe, nurturing, and progressive living environment.
To excel in this application, you must demonstrate the following attributes:
Proven Background: A minimum of one year of experience working directly with young people in a residential care environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Active registration under the PVG scheme, or a willingness to obtain it immediately.
Essential Qualifications: An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or an equivalent, relevant qualification) is highly desirable, though candidates actively working towards this will be considered.
Mobility: A full UK driving licence is required to facilitate community outings and appointments.
Core Competencies: Excellent interpersonal communication skills coupled with a adaptable, proactive mindset.
