Morson Edge is recruiting a Configuration & Baseline Engineer to support a major F-35 training programme based at RAF Marham.This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the UK's most advanced military aviation programmes, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and continuous improvement of the F-35 training system used by RAF and Royal Navy personnel.Working at the intersection of configuration management, database administration, instructional design and defence training, you'll collaborate with industry partners and military stakeholders to ensure training products remain compliant, controlled and operationally effective.Why Consider This Opportunity?

The Role
As a Configuration & Baseline Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the F-35 training database, ensuring configuration control, supporting curriculum development and analysing training data to drive continuous improvement.Working within a highly regulated defence aviation environment, you'll administer controlled technical information, manage configuration changes and collaborate with engineering and training stakeholders to ensure training outputs remain accurate, compliant and aligned with operational requirements.Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the F-35 training database using Microsoft AccessManage database configuration control, version management, backups and troubleshootingApply Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologiesProduce and maintain Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) documentationSupport the design, development and evaluation of training curriculaAnalyse training data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for continuous improvementProduce reports and recommendations to support governance and decision-makingManage training configuration using PerForce Helix CoreCoordinate stakeholder issues and change requests through JiraWork collaboratively with engineering teams and programme stakeholdersSupport training assurance activities and ensure compliance with organisational standards
Essential Skills & Experience

Experience within an aviation or defence training environmentPractical experience applying Systems Approach to Training (SAT)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft AccessExperience administering databases or managing controlled technical informationExperience in instructional design or curriculum developmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex dataExperience supporting training assurance processesExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable Experience

Knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT/JSP822)Experience using PerForce Helix CoreExperience using JiraKnowledge of Export Control and ITAR requirementsExperience supporting fast jet aircrew or groundcrew trainingExperience working with military customers and defence stakeholdersHNC (or equivalent) in an engineering disciplineQualification in instructional design, training delivery or training assurance
Security Clearance
Successful applicants must be eligible to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance as a minimum. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may be required depending on programme requirements.A specialist role.
