We are seeking a full-time, temporary Teaching Assistant to provide focused, individual support to a primary pupil within one of our welcoming partner schools across Blackpool, starting this September 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful connection and make a profound, immediate impact on a child's learning journey and personal growth.
The Role
The core focus of this position is to support one pupil across all areas of the primary curriculum. You will be responsible for implementing the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), adapting classroom activities on the fly, and managing specific learning, communication, or emotional needs. Working closely alongside the class teacher and the school's SENCO, you will track progress, foster independence, and ensure the child feels fully included and valued in school life.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Assist the pupil in navigating social, emotional, and unstructured situations (e.g., break times, assemblies).
Help monitor, record, and track the pupil's progress, behavior, and daily milestones.
Maintain clear communication and collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, external therapists, and parents.
Serve as a positive role model, fostering independence and confidence in the pupil.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Proven track record supporting primary-aged children with SEN (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, communication difficulties, or global delay).
Skills: Excellent communication, emotional resilience, and a creative, adaptable supporting style.
