About the role
HSE Advisor - Runcorn
HSE Advisor required for a major construction project in Runcorn.
We are looking to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor to support the delivery of a new packing facility project comprising new build, extension and refurbishment works within a live industrial environment.
This position would ideally suit a freelance HSE Advisor, although PAYE candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities
Providing day-to-day Health, Safety and Environmental support across the project.
Carrying out site inspections, audits and safety observations.
Producing HSE reports and completing all associated administration.
Monitoring contractor and subcontractor compliance.
Reviewing RAMS and supporting safe systems of work.
Investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances.
Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings where required.
Working closely with site management, workforce and client representatives.
Maintaining accurate health and safety records and documentation.
Promoting a proactive health and safety culture across site.
Requirements
NEBOSH qualification essential.
CSCS card essential.
Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction.
Strong administration, reporting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage site HSE requirements.
Desirable
Medium Risk Confined Spaces certification (preferred but can be obtained after starting).
Experience working on live industrial sites.
Experience on new build, extension and refurbishment projects.
Previous experience working alongside principal contractors and multiple subcontractors.
