About the role
Leonard Cheshire is looking for a full-time night Support Worker (38 hours a week, 9.15pm to 7.15am) at Newhaven Road, a residential service in north Edinburgh next to Victoria Park for seven adults with physical disabilities.
What you will do:
- Help with daily living, including personal care, mealtimes and medication
- Encourage independence with a person-centred approach
- Go with people to appointments, events and community activities
- Help each person live life on their own terms
What they ask for:
- At least 1 year's UK care experience (essential)
- A warm, friendly and positive approach, good communication and teamwork
- A PVG check and references
Pay stated by the employer: £13.75 per hour. Benefits stated by the employer: 30 days' holiday including bank holidays (rising by a day each year to 35), Stream (access up to 40% of pay before payday), a free Blue Light Card, a contributory pension with life cover, a health cash plan, apprenticeships and qualifications, free PVG membership and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
