Your new role

• Supervising the purchase ledger function and supporting junior team members
• Managing the end-to-end supplier invoice process
• Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
• Reviewing and approving payment runs
• Monitoring and maintaining accurate supplier records
• Supporting month-end close activities and reporting requirements
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across accounts payable
• Assisting with audit requirements and ad hoc finance projects

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Supervisor role
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and controls
• Experience supervising or mentoring finance team members
• Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Good Excel and finance system skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• A proactive and process-improvement mindset
