Overview
Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Senior Site Manager for a reputable construction business covering the East Midlands areas. This role is to manage and oversee a range of projects.
Client
Our client is an established regional main contractor who deliver a wide range of projects including commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and residential frameworks. With over 100 years in the industry, they have established themselves as experts in their field. Our client prides themselves on individual and professional development and are well known for their progression paths.
Role
Our client is looking to bring in a Senior Site Manager to work as a part of their existing team.
You will be managing a team, working on various projects given all the necessary tools to build a long-term and successful career.
Responsibilities
Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management. Implement project strategies in order to achieve the company’s sustainability objectives.
Establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
Understand the customer priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintaining good working relations.
Manage project programmes and control operations to achieve delivery of the project on time.
Organise the supply chain to provide the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades.
Manage the project handover and ensure defect / snag free completion. The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications.
Understanding and appropriately sharing build programmes.
Person
Strong person management and delegation skills.
Effective communication and listening skills.
A good understanding of the building regulations, local authority agreements.
Previous experience working within the commercial construction industry.
Ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously.
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
