Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: London
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties, SEMH and Learning Disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential in a supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and achievements.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working with children with SEND in a school, nursery or care setting.
Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language Needs or Complex Learning Needs.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
