Electronics Technician Cranfield £33,000-£40,000 The Role Join a growing R&D team in a hands-on bench technician role where practical skill matters far more than formal qualifications. You will work closely with design engineers to build prototypes, rework boards, and support workshop activities. Key Responsibilities * PCB Rework & Assembly: Hand-solder, modify, and repair PTH and SMD assemblies * Specialist Equipment: Use rework stations, soldering tools, and optical microscopes daily. * Mechanical & Box Build: Assemble enclosures, wire harnesses, crimps, and test rigs. * Team Support: Procure parts via BOMs, raise POs, follow ESD procedures, and document your work. What We’re Looking For * Proven bench experience in manual PCB soldering and rework (PTH/SMD). * Comfortable working under a microscope. * Experience with mechanical assembly, box building, and cable looming. * Ability to interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions accurately. xjnqpsq * Desirable: BGA experience, IPC certifications, or Altium Viewer familiarity (training provided).
