Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Engineer
Location: Cookstown, Northern Ireland

Fusion People are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Cookstown. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving production processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the implementation of innovative manufacturing solutions within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce waste
– Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
– Develop and maintain production systems, procedures, and documentation
– Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimise manufacturing performance
– Investigate production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions
– Support new product introduction and manufacturing process development
– Monitor manufacturing KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
– Participate in projects involving automation, process optimisation, and equipment upgrades
– Ensure all activities are completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards

Requirements

– Degree or HND in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
– Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment
– Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Experience using manufacturing data to drive operational improvements
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
– Knowledge of process mapping, root cause analysis, and project management techniques would be advantageous
