Year 6 Class Teacher

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in Upper Key Stage 2? Zest Education is currently working alongside a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sutton Coldfield that is seeking a talented Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated ECT with strong classroom practice to lead a Year 6 class through one of the most important stages of their primary education. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential, preparing them for SATs and their transition to secondary school, while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role:

• Full-time Year 6 Class Teacher position
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments
• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE
• ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply
• Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Passionate about raising standards and pupil achievement
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
