Transport Supervisor

We are recruiting a Logistics Supervisor for a luxury food delivery business, overseeing the daily operation and ensuring products reach customers on time, in perfect condition and with the service they expect.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead a team, keep dispatch running smoothly and make confident decisions when the pressure builds.

The role

Working closely with route planning, warehouse and customer service teams, you will coordinate daily deliveries, support drivers and maintain high standards across the operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising daily dispatch and delivery activity, ensuring orders leave accurately and on schedule.
• Leading, briefing and supporting drivers and logistics colleagues.
• Coordinating driver allocation, vehicle availability and delivery priorities.
• Monitoring deliveries and resolving delays, failed drops and last-minute changes.
• Maintaining food safety, temperature control, hygiene and product handling standards.
• Overseeing vehicle checks and escalating maintenance requirements.
• Tracking delivery performance, addressing recurring issues and improving efficiency.
• Ensuring delivery records, proof of delivery and incident reports are completed accurately.

About you

You will bring experience in a logistics or transport supervisory role, ideally within foodservice, chilled distribution or a demanding multi-drop delivery operation.

You know how to get the best from a team, communicate clearly and keep service standards high during busy periods. Comfortable using transport systems and performance data, you will combine strong organisation with a practical approach to solving problems.
