Pay: £14.90 per hour

Job Description:

We are excited to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join an amazing company in Linford Wood.

This role is temporary until 24th December.

Credit Controller role and responsibilities:

A flexible and adaptable member of the Finance team taking ownership for managing a number of high profile accounts, to ensure a high degree of customer service is delivered consistently in all aspects of their accounts.

The Role:

• Proactively chase all debt owing to the company by telephone and email
• Protect the company at all times against credit risk
• Know your customer, build and document a knowledge profile of your key customers
• Deal with customer queries, seek appropriate resolutions both in immediate and long term
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues preventing payment
• Manage your unallocated cash on a pre-emptive basis
• Identify slow paying or potential bad debt customers and monitor regularly
• Issue statements to customers as required
• Manage your daily debt report
• Ad-hoc administration duties

The Person:

• Solid credit control experience within a commercial environment
• Outgoing and confident personality who is able to operate at all levels
• Self-starter who is driven to set and achieve goals
• Strong organisational & time management skills
• Ability to negotiate outstanding aged debt and maximise payment to our client.
• Proactive and able to recognise potential risks which need to be escalated
• Good keyboard skills and competence of Word, Excel and Outlook
• High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
• Team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn
