CIVIL SITE MANAGER / SUPERVISOR In Teesside | Barnard Castle | Durham
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Civil Site Manager / Foreman to join a project starting 16th November 2026.
We are looking for candidates with a strong heavy civil engineering background, particularly those with experience in reinforced concrete works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of site activities, operatives and subcontractors.
- Supervising reinforced concrete and heavy civil engineering works.
- Coordinating steel fixing and shuttering/joinery activities.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Monitoring progress against the project programme.
- Ensuring RAMS and site paperwork are kept up to date.
- Coordinating labour, materials and plant.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and the wider project team.
- Reporting progress and any issues to the Contracts Manager.
Requirements:
- Valid SMSTS qualification.
- First Aid certificate.
- Previous experience as a Civil Site Manager or Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil engineering and reinforced concrete works.
- Experience dealing with steel fixers and shuttering joiners.
- Good understanding of site management, health and safety and construction processes.
- Ability to manage site teams and drive programme delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Site Manager / Foreman to join an established project.
