Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools | Epping & Surrounding Areas Location: Epping, Waltham Forest & Surrounding Areas Pay: £100–£120 per day, dependent on experience Contract: Flexible Daily Supply | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Start Date: Immediately About the Role Principal Education is looking for enthusiastic, confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Epping and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience. We are particularly interested in candidates based in Epping, Waltham Forest, , Loughton, Chingford, Cheshunt, Waltham Abbey, Enfield and surrounding areas. Whether you are looking for full-time work, part-time opportunities or flexible supply around other commitments, we can offer placements to suit your availability. Key Responsibilities Supervise classes of secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher. Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task. Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Manage classroom behaviour and encourage student participation. Support students with their learning where appropriate. Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and lesson instructions. Who Are We Looking For? We welcome applications from: Graduates considering a career in teaching or education. Experienced Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants. Sports coaches, football coaches and youth workers. Individuals with experience in mentoring or behaviour management. Candidates with experience working with young people in any setting. You will ideally have: Experience working with children or young people. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. Confidence leading a classroom and supervising secondary school pupils. A flexible, reliable and proactive approach. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
