Gas Engineer – Social Housing Location: St Helens & Manchester areas Pay: £21.00 per hour Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm Start Date: 30 November 2026 Contract: 6 months, with the opportunity to go permanent We are currently looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join a long-term social housing contract covering the St Helens and Manchester areas. The role will primarily involve working in occupied and void social housing properties as part of kitchen installation and refurbishment works. Duties will include: Disconnecting and reconnecting boilers as required during kitchen works General gas engineering duties within social housing properties Carrying out work safely and to the required standards Working alongside kitchen fitting and refurbishment teams Ensuring work is completed professionally with minimal disruption to residents Package: £21.00 per hour Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm Fuel card provided Mileage paid if using your own vehicle 6 months of consistent work Opportunity to be taken on permanently for the right candidate Requirements: Qualified and experienced Gas Engineer Current Gas Safe registration/relevant gas qualifications xjnqpsq Experience working within social housing is preferred Full UK driving licence Reliable, professional and comfortable working in occupied properties This is a great opportunity for a Gas Engineer looking for long-term, consistent work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
