The Role
You will be supporting students with their practical learning, helping them develop construction-related skills, build confidence and work towards greater independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students during practical construction and workshop-based activities.
- Helping learners develop practical skills and an understanding of construction techniques.
- Providing encouragement and guidance to students with additional learning needs.
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
- Supporting the delivery of a safe and structured learning environment.
- Working closely with teaching staff and other support professionals.
We would love to hear from people who:
- Have experience or a genuine interest in construction, building or a trade.
- Enjoy working with young people and supporting their development.
- Are patient, approachable and encouraging.
- Can engage learners through practical, hands-on activities.
- Have experience working with young people with SEN or additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Are reliable, proactive and happy to get stuck in!
