Caretaker / Site Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker for a welcoming primary school in Doncaster. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance, site supervision or general upkeep who is looking for work within an education setting.
The role will involve ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained, alongside supporting the day-to-day running of the school site.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaker or site supervision role would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Practical skills and confidence carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
• A reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good awareness of site safety and security.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Carrying out general maintenance and upkeep duties across the school site.
• Opening and closing the school premises, including keyholder responsibilities.
• Ensuring the school site is safe, secure and ready for daily use.
• Completing minor repairs and reporting any larger maintenance issues.
• Supporting additional cleaning duties when required.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of the school grounds and buildings.
• Assisting with the day-to-day management and security of the premises.
• Responding to general site-related requests from school staff.
