Accounts Assistant

Robert Half are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis in the Swindon area for 6 months.

Office based 5 days per week.

The day-to-day responsibilities include filing, assisting with accounts administration, vehicles, tax and insurance administration, liaising with branches, compiling payroll information (rather than processing payroll), and general finance administration duties.

There are also several additional administrative tasks involved, such as uniform distribution, stationery ordering, fuel card administration, and other ad hoc duties as required.

Given that the role sits across both HR and Finance functions, this is quite a varied role.

• Managing incoming emails and acting as a key point of contact
• Handling inbound and outbound phone calls
• Issuing invoices, credits, and statements to customers in line with requests
• Accounts such as journals, fixed assets management

• Processing timesheets every Monday
• Chasing Business Managers for outstanding timesheets
• Monitoring and maintaining vehicle MOTs and road tax (fortnightly checks)

• Completing mileage and expense claims
• Maintaining compliance checklists

• Updating branch registers (e.g. key holders, utilities)
• Managing uniform orders and stock
• Processing Return to Work forms
• Maintaining employee records (electronic and hard copy filing)
• Supporting ONS (Office for National Statistics) requests (as required
