People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our busy, family-owned client based in Swindon, on a temporary, ongoing basis.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Quality Control Supervisor, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Following company manufacturing principles, including the production of fresh products without additives, colourings or preservatives
 • Working in accordance with Team Leader instructions
 • Supporting colleagues to ensure production requirements are met
 • Completing daily production and quality control paperwork
 • Producing baked and fried goods, fillings and glazes in line with the production plan
 • Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch
 • Cleaning work areas, surfaces and equipment throughout the shift
 • Participating in end-of-shift cleaning and sanitising procedures
 • Following internal food safety, hygiene, cleaning and PPE procedures
 • Applying quality control and quality assurance procedures to finished products and preparations
 • Maintaining high standards of product quality, cleanliness and food safety

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Quality Control Supervisor, you will need:

 • Level 2 Food Safety qualification
 • Food Standards Agency (FSA) allergen awareness training
 • Ability to follow food safety, hygiene and quality control procedures
 • Good attention to detail and ability to complete accurate paperwork
 • Ability to work effectively within a busy food production environment
 • Willingness to work night shifts on a rotating schedule

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, ideally at least one year
 • Previous experience working within a food production environment
 • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance procedures

Training Provided

 • Full industry-related training
 • Ongoing development and support throughout your assignment
