About the role
Job Description
A calm, well‑organised secondary school in Birmingham is looking for reliable, attentive Exam Invigilators to support the smooth and secure running of their upcoming exam season. This role suits someone who can follow procedures carefully, stay focused, and help maintain a fair, controlled exam environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up exam rooms in line with school regulations
- Supervising students throughout exams to ensure rules are followed
- Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials
- Assisting with seating plans and candidate organisation
- Addressing student queries appropriately within exam guidelines
- Reporting any irregularities to the Exams Officer
- Maintaining a calm, quiet, professional atmosphere
What the School Needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- A calm, professional, reassuring presence
- Reliability, punctuality, and confidence working with students
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods
- Previous invigilation experience helpful but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
