About the role
We’re looking for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Data Officer to join our GIS Data and Support Team. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week and this role may involve travel to properties across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
You’ll develop and maintain Python based tools, scripts and automated workflows that support the management of critical ecological and spatial datasets. Coding and technical problem-solving will form a significant part of your day-to-day work, with a focus on creating efficient, reliable solutions that improve the way data is captured, processed, managed and shared across the organisation.
You’ll design and implement technical solutions that enhance data quality, streamline business processes and improve the user experience across our GIS platforms. This will involve identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks, developing innovative approaches to common challenges and ensuring that systems and workflows are robust, scalable and fit for purpose.
The role also includes the management, analysis and interpretation of spatial data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
