Quality Inspector

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a long-established commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Dunfermline, paying £33,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, with a £2,500 attendance bonus once you pass probation.

This is an end of line role, so you’re the last check before a vehicle leaves the facility. Every build passes through you, and your sign-off is what the customer’s confidence rests on.

What’s on offer?

• A full-time permanent position
• £33,000 to £50,000 per year – depending on experience
• £2,500 attendance bonus on completion of probation
• Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4:30pm, and Friday, 7am to 10:30am (or finish)

As a Quality Inspector, your duties will include:

• Carrying out final inspections on completed vehicles before they are signed off
• Checking builds against engineering drawings, customer specifications and quality standards
• Identifying and recording defects, then following them through to rectification with the build teams
• Completing inspection documentation and maintaining accurate quality records
• Feeding recurring faults back into production to stop them repeating

To be considered as a Quality Inspector, you will need:

• Experience in a quality inspection role within vehicle manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
• The confidence to raise and resolve quality issues directly with production teams
• Basic IT skills for recording inspection results
