Electronics Test Engineer

Electronics Test Engineer Colchester Area GBP45,000 + Excellent Benefits Package We are recruiting for an experienced Electronics Test Engineer to join a well-established electronics manufacturer based near Colchester. This is a hands-on technical role, involving the testing, validation and fault finding of new and existing electronic products before they are released into production. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, be confident working with electronic circuits and enjoy investigating and resolving complex technical problems. Key Responsibilities Carry out detailed testing and validation of new and existing electronic products against technical specificationsDiagnose and troubleshoot faults at circuit and component level using schematics and test equipmentPerform electrical measurements, analyse results and investigate product failuresIdentify root causes of technical issues and work towards effective solutionsDevelop C++ software applications for engineering and production testing, with training provided where requiredManage multiple testing activities, record results and provide technical feedback to support product improvements Skills & Experience Required Experience in electronics testing, fault finding or a similar engineering roleStrong practical knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuitsConfident reading and interpreting electronic schematicsExperience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators or logic analysersGood understanding of electronic measurements, signal processing and circuit debuggingAbility to investigate complex faults independently and explain technical findingsHNC/HND or degree in Electronic Engineering or a related disciplineC++, C or Python programming experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided What's on Offer? 25 days' holiday plus bank holidaysCareer progression and ongoing trainingCompany pension and life assuranceEmployee wellbeing supportSalary sacrifice schemesCompany social events Interested?
