Transport Planner Ellesmere Port, Wirral GBP32,000 – GBP33,000 (Pro Rota) Monday Friday, 6 am 3 pm OR 8 am 5 pm Temporary Position I m currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a blue chip business that specialises in European and Global bulk & container freight. They are seeking a Transport Planner to support the current transport operation in the management of route planning for UK container loads and bulk tippers. The Candidate; Proven experience of working in a similar transport planning positionRoute planning experience within a container or bulk tipper operation is advantageousExperience of working within a fast paced, busy transport officeGood knowledge of EU driver's hours and working time regulations Knowledge of port operations (desirable) Strong customer service skillsFlexible approachAbility to work under pressure and to deadlinesCompetent decision makingGood geographical knowledge of the North West and UK Duties and Responsibilities; Route planning for container and bulk loads for UK wide distributionMonitoring driver performanceAssist with driver briefs and debriefsCollation of POD s & completion of invoicing summariesEnsure all transport jobs are inputted into the systemReview driver routes and plan to maximise efficiencyKeep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delaysDaily planning and management of all subcontractorsProvide the communication link between customers and driversSupervising and managing driver workloadsManaging your driver s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer serviceInvestigating failed services and looking into ways to resolve site issues If you have Transport Planner experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.
