Deli Manager Surrey Salary: DOE Could you bring fresh energy to a busy farm shop and help shape the next stage of its growth? We're looking for a hands–on retail manager to lead the deli, chilled and frozen operation, support a close–knit team and make every visit a great experience for customers. About our client Our client is a family–run destination in Surrey, bringing together a high–quality farm shop, garden centre, caf s and seasonal events. They're proud of their personal approach and believe the customer experience should feel just as special as the products they offer. About the job You'll take the lead across the deli, chilled and frozen departments, helping the farm shop keep pace with growing customer demand. Working alongside the person who runs the farm shop, you'll organise and support a core team of around 15 people, with staffing levels flexing through busier periods. Your days will be varied: planning rotas, managing ordering and buying, keeping the departments well presented and running smoothly, and helping deliver events throughout the year. It's a practical role where you'll be visible on the shop floor, backing your team and making sure customers receive warm, personal service. This is a chance to make a real difference in a growing, high–quality retail business. Strong food retail management skills and a good understanding of what makes a great shop are what matter. The ideal candidate You'll be an experienced retail manager who enjoys leading from the front and can bring energy, organisation and sound commercial judgement to a busy operation. You'll know how to plan rotas, manage stock and ordering, and keep standards high across fresh food departments. Experience in food retail is preferred. Most of all, you'll care about the customer experience, enjoy working with people and be comfortable rolling up your sleeves when the shop is busy. Previous event experience would be useful, but a positive, can–do approach is just as important.
