Join the dedicated team at Priory Hospital Chelmsford as a Deputy Ward Manager! This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary ranging from £43,014 to £46,314 per annum, depending on your experience.

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with at least 18 months to two years of post-registration experience. Please note, this role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or those in preceptorship.

Located in Chelmsford, Essex, our hospital specializes in mental health and addiction treatment, providing both inpatient and outpatient services for adults and young people, including assessments for autism and ADHD. The hospital is easily accessible via public transport, with local bus routes nearby and Chelmsford railway station just 2–3 miles away. While public transport is available, having access to a vehicle is recommended.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Deputy Ward Manager on our Private Acute Ward, you will be an essential part of a compassionate team dedicated to enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of adults. We adopt a personalized and therapeutic approach, utilizing evidence-based interventions to help individuals build resilience, develop confidence, and work towards a healthier future.

Your role will involve:

• Supporting the assessment and delivery of individualized care plans.
• Promoting dignity, safety, and emotional wellbeing for each adult in our care.

What You'll Bring to the Role

Essential Qualifications:

• Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in Mental Health.
• At least 18 months to two years of post-registration experience.
• A strong commitment to continued professional development and leadership growth.
• Solid computer skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in clinical supervision.
