Location: Bridgend, Bridgend County, Wales

Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Employment Type: Temporary with potential for permanent position

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team in Bridgend. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people within a supportive social care environment. The position begins as a temporary assignment, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:

Supporting children and young people in their day-to-day activities and interests
Promoting independence and overall wellbeing of the young people
Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social activities
Providing emotional and practical support to children within your care
Ensuring the safety and welfare of young people by adhering to care plans and guidelines
Supporting behaviour management and incident minimisation, including restraint training if qualified

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:

A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undergo training)
Valid UK Driving Licence
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
The right to work in the UK
