Training and Competence Supervisor

THE ROLE CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND

We are a working with a leading national IFA firm committed to delivering exceptional financial planning and wealth management services to clients across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Training & Competence Supervisor based in the North.

You will play a key role in overseeing the competency, development, and regulatory standards of their financial advisers. You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining an effective T&C Scheme aligned to FCA requirements and Consumer Duty expectations.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor a panel of Financial Advisers in accordance with the firm's T&C Scheme.
• Conduct file reviews, observations, and competency assessments to ensure regulatory and company standards are met.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to advisers to support continuous improvement.
• Assess adviser competence and provide recommendations regarding sign-off, accreditation, and supervisory requirements.
• Identify training needs and contribute to the design and delivery of development programmes.
• Maintain accurate T&C records and management information.
• Support adviser onboarding, induction, and competency sign-off processes.
• Assist with implementing FCA regulatory changes, Consumer Duty requirements, and industry best practice.
• Participate in adviser development meetings and performance reviews.

Do you have the following to apply?

• Previous experience in a T&C role within an IFA environment.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and T&C requirements.
• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to assess adviser competence and provide effective coaching and development support.
