Engineering Lecturer

Our client, a well-established further education college, is looking to recruit a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturer to join its teaching team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional or passionate educator who wants to share their industry knowledge, inspire learners and help develop the next generation of engineering talent.

The Role
As an Engineering Lecturer, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality engineering lessons.
* Teaching learners across a range of abilities and educational backgrounds.
* Delivering practical and theoretical engineering sessions.
* Supporting learners with engineering principles, technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
* Preparing students for relevant vocational and technical qualifications.
* Assessing coursework, practical assignments and examinations.
* Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
* Ensuring safe working practices are followed during practical workshop activities.
* Maintaining a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Contributing to curriculum development and departmental activities.

The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who:
* Holds a relevant engineering qualification or degree.
* Has a recognised teaching qualification, or is willing to work towards one.
* Has industry experience within an engineering environment.
* Has strong technical knowledge and practical engineering skills.
* Experience in further education or vocational teaching would be advantageous.
* Has excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Can motivate, engage and inspire learners.
*Is passionate about developing students' technical abilities and preparing them for careers within the engineering sector.
