About the role
Position: Specialist One-to-One Tutor
Location: Lewisham
Hours: Flexible, up to 40 hours per week
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications
Contract: Ongoing placements
Remedy Tutors is recruiting patient and understanding tutors to work with children and young people who have SEN and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Students may experience anxiety, low confidence, emotional regulation difficulties, social communication challenges or difficulties maintaining engagement with education. You will provide supportive tuition that helps students feel comfortable and make progress academically.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach both Maths and English.
Deliver structured, personalised lessons.
Adapt teaching to suit individual learning and emotional needs.
Encourage positive learning routines.
Build trusting relationships.
Support confidence, independence and academic progress.
Ability to teach Maths and English is essential.
SEN/SEND or SEMH experience is desirable.
Calm, patient and encouraging approach.
Strong relationship-building skills.
