Van Driver / 3.5 Tonne Driver – Hereford (HR4) – £14.75 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced Van Drivers / 3.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established client based in Hereford (HR4).

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £14.75 per hour, overtime at £19.62 per hour after 40 hours, ongoing work, weekly pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position. Assessments are available ASAP.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Van Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, Multi-Drop Delivery Driver or Delivery Driver.

Important: Previous multi-drop delivery experience is essential. Candidates must be available to work every Saturday.

Shifts

• Monday to Saturday – five shifts out of six
• Every Saturday is required
• Start times between 05:30 and 06:30
• Shifts typically lasting 8–11 hours

Rates of Pay

• £14.75 per hour
• £19.62 per hour for overtime after 40 hours

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver / 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Completing approximately 30–40 multi-drop deliveries per shift, mainly across villages and towns
• Loading and unloading boxes and packages
• Loading vehicles ready for the following day's delivery routes
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults
• Operating a 3.5 tonne electric refrigerated van safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations
• Monitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration unit temperatures

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver / 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
• Good understanding of vehicle operation and driving regulations
• Ability to carry out loading and unloading duties
• Availability to work every Saturday

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience driving refrigerated delivery vehicles
• Experience completing deliveries across towns and rural locations
• Experience operating electric commercial vehicles

Training Provided

• Vehicle maintenance and safety training
• Compliance and regulatory training
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
