Temporary Nanny in Hampstead

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced, caring and reliable temporary nanny to provide maternity cover for the family’s existing nanny, who will be taking approximately two months leave from mid-February 2027.

The family is looking for someone who is confident caring for a 3-year-old boy and can provide a warm, nurturing and engaging environment. Flexibility around working days and hours is available for the right candidate, although the primary requirement is after-school childcare, with additional weekend support.

Duties Include:

• Providing attentive and nurturing care for a 3-year-old boy
• Collecting the child from nursery or school and providing after-school care
• Planning and organising age-appropriate activities, play and outings
• Preparing simple meals and snacks for the child
• Supporting the child’s daily routines, development and general wellbeing
• Ensuring the child’s safety and maintaining a happy, stimulating environment
• Providing additional childcare support at weekends as required

Requirements:

• Previous professional nanny experience, ideally with toddlers and young children
• A warm, caring and patient approach
• Reliable, organised and flexible
• Confident managing the daily routines and needs of a 3-year-old
• Able to provide excellent references
• Paediatric first aid qualification desirable

Hours: Approximately 15+ hours per week, although the final number of hours and frequency of visits will be agreed with the client based on the household’s requirements.

Start Date: Mid-February

Salary: £22 - £26 gross per hour

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
