Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a straightforward driving operation on a temporary basis.
The role involves completing a simple drop-and-swap delivery at the main depot before returning to the original site. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver looking for consistent weekday work and early starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 1 HGV safely and professionally.
- Completing drop-and-swap deliveries at the main depot.
- Returning to site following completion of the delivery.
- Ensuring all vehicle checks and relevant paperwork are completed.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism throughout the assignment.
- Monday to Friday.
- Early start at 04:30.
- Shifts are generally no longer than 10 hours and may finish earlier.
- £16.00 per hour.
- A minimum of 8 hours' pay is guaranteed per shift.
- Overtime is paid on a sixth shift only.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- Good understanding of driver safety and compliance.
