About the role
Working on low volume, high integrity components, in a range of materials from Aluminium to Nickel Based alloys. The size of components will typically range from 0.6 - 2.2 metre diameter.
Job Role: Vertical Turner/Borer
Location: Ripley
Salary: £36,138.96 - £42,932.76 per annum (depending on experience)
Metalis are working with a well established business in Ripley, who are looking for a Vertical Turner/Borer to join their team.
Job Duties
- Machining of high integrity parts in a variety of materials (stainless steel, titanium, aluminium, nickel alloys etc.)
- Set, operate and program machines
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Work to an exacting quality standard to ensure parts are machined right first time and on time
- Use measuring equipment to check work
- Identify and suggest improvement activities
- Carry out periodic maintenance checks on equipment
Job Requirements
- Apprentice trained or 5 years' experience
- Vertical Turning/Boring experience
- Experience using Fanuc and/or Siemens
- Experience in relevant industries (Aerospace, Nuclear, Power Generation)
- Experience working with a wide range of materials
- Experience working to tight tolerances
Salary, Shift & Benefits
- £36,138.96 - £42,932.76 per annum (depending on experience)
- Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm
- 33 holidays (including statutory)
