Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Director - Cost Management Consultancy BirminghamThe opportunityOur award winning client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director to take a leading role in their Birmingham cost management team. This is a chance to own your projects, shape the direction of a growing regional team, and build long-term client relationships across a diverse portfolio of construction work.You'll have the autonomy to lead commissions from feasibility through to final account, the influence to shape how the team grows, and a clear path towards director level for the right person.What you'll be doingLeading cost management and quantity surveying services on a range of projects, taking full responsibility for delivery, quality and commercial outcomes.Acting as the trusted adviser to clients, building lasting relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat and new work.Preparing and presenting cost plans, feasibility studies, procurement advice and cost reports, giving clear, confident recommendations that drive client decisions.Overseeing project financial control, spotting risks early and making sure clients and the business always have accurate, up-to-date information.Contributing to the regional team's income and growth targets, including bids, fee proposals and business development.Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level surveyors, setting the standard for quality and professionalism.Helping shape team processes and making sure best practice is applied consistently across projects.What we're looking forSignificant post-qualification experience in a consultancy cost management or quantity surveying role.MRICS (or working towards it, for senior-level candidates).A track record of leading projects and managing client relationships independently.Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to advise clients at a senior level.Experience of, or a real appetite for, leading and developing people.A proactive approach to winning work and growing a regional presence.What we offerA senior role with genuine influence over the future of the Birmingham team.A clear route to director level based on performance and contribution.A collaborative, supportive culture where your experience is valued.If you're ready for a role where you can lead, influence and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
