HGV Class 2 Moffett Driver – Dordon, Tamworth – £16.50 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Moffett Driver to join our well-established client based in Dordon, Tamworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.50 per hour, £19.00 per hour overtime, Monday-to-Friday daytime shifts and consistent ongoing work, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Moffett Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Moffett Delivery Driver or HIAB/Moffett Driver with the required Moffett qualification.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 07:00–15:00
 • Weekend work available
 • Flexibility for nights out or tramping if required

Rates of Pay

 • Monday to Friday: £16.50 per hour
 • Overtime: £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Moffett Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:

 • Completing Class 2 multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods
 • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
 • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
 • Ensuring goods are loaded and secured correctly
 • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
 • Communicating with the transport office and customers
 • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
 • Working with curtain-sided and rear-loading vehicles
 • Completing nights out or tramping when required

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Moffett Driver, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C driving licence
 • A valid Moffett licence or recognised Moffett qualification
 • A minimum of 12 months’ Category C driving experience
 • A valid Driver CPC qualification
 • A valid Digital Tachograph card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
 • No major driving endorsements
 • A professional and reliable attitude
 • Excellent communication skills
 • A good level of spoken and written English
 • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
 • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial multi-drop driving experience
 • Experience delivering palletised goods
 • Experience using curtain-sided vehicles

Training Provided

 • Driver assessment required before starting
 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
